Zone Labs releases Zone Alarm Plus
June 24, 2002
On Tuesday, Zone Labs has announced a new addition to its product family: ZoneAlarm Plus security utility.
Zone Alarm Plus version 3.1, a powerful Internet security solution that provides Zone Labs' award-winning firewall protection in an easy-to-use package for home and small business users, especially those who are personal firewall 'purists'.
ZoneAlarm Plus protects Internet-connected PCs from hacker attacks and risks posed by Trojan horses, spyware and other 'parasite' code.
ZoneAlarm Plus combines an intuitive user experience with powerful security features including a stealth firewall to barricade the PC from inbound attacks; Program Control to put the user in charge of which programs are communicating with the Internet, thus thwarting Trojan horse and spyware programs from 'calling home'; and quarantining suspicious email attachments with its MailSafe feature.
"The introduction of ZoneAlarm Plus completes Zone Labs' consumer and SOHO line of products," said Frederick Felman, vice president of marketing, Zone Labs. "ZoneAlarm Plus was created for the firewall purist, who wants the most advanced firewall features and the most powerful protection available, but is not interested in any additional bells and whistles."
ZoneAlarm Plus 3.1 supports Windows (98, SE, Me, NT, 2000 and XP). ZoneAlarm Plus costs $39.95 for a single user and is available immediately for purchase and download from the Zone Labs web site at www.zonelabs.com.
